I bought these boots a few months ago after having tried a number of other boots. My primary reason for buying them was their comfort - I have arthritis in my toes and I found the slightly rockered sole to be a real benefit.
These boots needed very little wearing in, they fit like a glove right from the off.
With a few months of general day-to-day wear and some light hiking they're still in excellent condition. A few marks on the toe due to the lack of a rand but that's about the only sign of wear and tear.
The soles grip well, though perhaps a little less well on wet rocks, and the rocker sole really helps to reduce fatigue on a long hike.
I've had no wet or smelly feet - and at the end of the day I almost resent having to take them off.
I doubt I shall ever buy another model of boot.
