The collection of bandage materials has been supplemented by nose tampons to treat such problems as nosebleeds. In addition there are two finger bandages and two knuckle bandages. When it comes to injuries to the hands and fingers normal bandages frequently do not suffice. Hydrocolloid dressing is includes for larger open wounds, and bandage tape can be used for cuts that require suturing.
The First Aid kit includes a real thermometer and a pair of tick tweezers. Since tick bites and their consequences are occurring with increasing frequency, every first aid set must also include tick tweezers.
