The 2nd PEGLERS ICE FEST of 2012 is now over, with no accidents or incidents, and we had the fortunate combination of clear and stable weather and good Ice conditions at most venues. Those with less experience made great progress gaining in confidence on the Ice and broadening their skill set on some of Ceillac's and Freissinieres classic multi pitch moderates. Others with more under their belt tested their physical and mental strength on harder lines such as Calins Solene at Fournel or their stamina on a Ceillac link up of 5 routes to grade 5, with 970 metres of ascent. It was a pleasure to host it, and I always think the success of fest is made by those on it. It was great.
