Outdoor Clothing & Travel Accessories. Waterproofs, fleece, baselayer, trousers shorts, cross trainers and sandals. The travel section includes travel bags, water purification, travel health and all manner of things to make your travels safe and successful including maps and books.

Camping & Backpacking. Tents, sleeping bags, rucksacks and all associated items such as torches, stoves and GPS. The shop is stuffed with gadgets so does make an interesting place to look around with lots of things to play with. We can demonstrate stoves, lanterns, GPS, put tents up and let you jump into sleeping bags and try out ground mats to make sure they are comfy.

Outdoor & Hiking Footwear. Boots, socks, insoles and gaiters. We believe that we have one of the biggest ranges of walking boots in the UK. Peglers offer a well established expert boot fitting service for all foot sizes, shapes and boots especially for ladies. Wide, narrow, long or short, we can fit the boot that is best suited to your shape and intended use. Prices from £5 to over £300, sizes from the tiniest kids to adult size 17. Our range is so big we needed another shop to fit it all in!

Climbing & Mountaineering. This is the shop to come to for all aspects of climbing, mountaineering and caving. Massive ranges of equipment, experience and knowledge. Sit in a harness, put up a mountain tent, swing some ice axes (carefully!) and even put on a full down expedition suit suitable for the extreme cold of 8000m peaks.
