One of the beliefs of Peglers is that everyone should be able to enjoy the out of doors at an affordable price.

This led to the creation of a hire and second hand service.

Currently Peglers hire out:

 
Walking Boots to Scouts/Guides/Duke of Edinburgh Award Participants
Rucksacks
Tents to Duke of Edinburgh Award Participants

These items are particularly hired to young people involved in the above groups, however, certain school trips are also included at our discretion. This hire equipment is not of a high grade and is not suitable for mountain trekking.

In addition to the above we also hire out:

• Mountaineering Boots 
• Technical Crampons
• Walking Crampons
• Technical Ice Axes
• Walking Axes

Second Hand Equipment: 

Peglers also undertake to sell second hand equipment, predominantly boots and rucksacks, on your behalf. Although there is no charge for this service we do ask for a donation from the sale to Mountain Rescue. So far we have raised in excess of £5,000. This service is particularly useful for children with growing feet where the cost of boots needs to be kept down.
