"I have enjoyed working with various youth organisations ranging from a young leader with  Brownies and Guider in charge of a  Guides unit, and currently I am a civilian instructor with the Air Training Corps. As well as organizing various outdoor activities I am involved with the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Working with Cadets who are working towards expedition with their navigation and camp craft skills. I'm also a member of the adventure training team, assisting on trips to Wales and the Lake District, giving Cadets the chance to go mountain walking, climbing, kayaking, coasteering and high rope courses.   

I have walked many areas of the UK, as well as the Alps & Scandinavia. I especially enjoyed a 5 day trek in the Swiss Alps staying in mountain huts. I have been on many climbing trips over the last 15 years, climbing on  both rock and ice, although since 2009 and this has been limited by my lovely daughter Molly.
