Ben started climbing fifteen years ago and is still active in all disciplines of climbing. From bouldering, sport and trad climbing through to waterfall ice and mixed climbing he'll be out there (work permitting). He is an active contributor to the chalk climbing scene.

He was a Raleigh International leader in Ghana in 2002 and last year was a leader for an extreme jungle expedition company in Belize. On this assignment he spent 3 months living in the bush in a remote part of Belize. On one big 100km trek his group didn't see another human being for a whole week!

As for other interests, he is a keen motorcycle tourer, having toured all over Europe. He also has a reputation in Peglers for his ancient kit and inability to buy anything new.
