Ainswoth Skin Lid Plain

Skid Lids' are a new concept in the manufacture of helmets, that offer significant improvements over other helmets. The shell is up to 10mm thick and offers shock absorbent properties that outperform all others. The CE approval demonstrated that where other helmets would only stand up to a single impact, before degrading, the 'Skid Lids' offered up to five times as much shock absorbancy, and stood up for multiple impacts. These properties are achieved by a unique manufacturing process invented by Ainsworth. The shell is made from Elastomeric Polyurethane, reinforced with graphite and glass fibres. This construction is not only tough, but also offers better heat insulation than other helmets. The helmets are finished with an Acrylic caped ABS tough plastic in various colours. They have replaceable, soft, comfortable liners that are fixed in with Velcro and can be washed if necessary.
