Scarpa Phantom 8000

The supreme lightweight, high altitude triple-boot with built-in gaiter. The Phantom 8000 is specifically designed for use in the high Himalayas but it is also perfect for the intense cold of Mt. McKinley and for use in the Polar Regions. Utilizing the latest high performance materials and a meticulously developed design of inner and outer boot, the Phantom 8000 is supremely lightweight and dexterous in use yet is also highly comfortable and warm enough to insulate against the lowest temperatures. It is the supreme boot for technical climbing on the most extreme and cold Himalayan routes. Included in its array of special features are: A Cordura® outer housing an insulating foam 'sandwiched' between two layers of heat reflective aluminum and layered onto an extra lightweight insulation layer - for outstanding warmth. A fully removable internal liner made in highly breathable nylon, combined with Thermofelt and PrimaLoft® (Note : This can be removed and worn in the tent or sleeping bag and turned inside out for even faster drying). A single pull speed lacing for fast entry and exit into the boot. A fully integrated Gaiter in abrasion and tear resistant nylon Dynatec with waterproof membrane and completely waterproof T-Zipper. Anti-abrasion instep reinforcements to protect against crampon snagging and abrasion. Heat-retaining inner sole for added warmth. Dual Grip sole suitable for use with clip-on crampons.
