Metolius Safetech Harness

Safe Tech is the culmination of a harness safety campaign that has been almost ten years in the making! With Safe Tech Harnesses, Metolius has all but eliminated the concept of low-strength components on a climbing harness. Metolius is building safety into the harness itself, so that when someone makes a critical mistake (like belaying off a gear loop or tying-in improperly), there is a backup system in place that will catch the mistake and nullify it! The Safe Tech also uses Metolius 3D adjustable system allowing you to adjust Waist, Legs, and Rise (distance between waist belt and leg loops). Plus, they are manufactured with in Bend, OR. 1. 2250 lbf (10 kN) Spectra gear loop 2. -Waist belt webbing shows color pattern change when correctly double-passed. -Waist buckle shows "DANGER" if not correctly double-passed. -If you forget to double-pass the waist buckle, it still holds 2250 lbf single-passed (10kN) 3. 3600 lbf (16 kN) rear haul loop 4. Non-directional tie-in points maintain their strength even if the rope is routed incorrectly. 5. 3600 lbf (16kN) Spectra rope locator 6. 1500 lbf (6.6 kN) leg loop strap 7. The patented 3-D system adjusts rise length and leg size to keep you upright and in balance in a fall.
